We understand that each person has their own unique life experiences and way of experiencing comfort. We strive to keep growing our understanding and curating a salon you LOVE visiting!

One of the ways we do this is by providing sensory accommodations. We understand that not everyone finds the salon environment relaxing, and we want to change that. From soft lighting to calming scents and soothing sounds, we go the extra mile to ensure that every visit to our salon is a truly incredible sensory experience.

City Hippie is a truly safe space — we are owned and operated by folks in the LGBTQIA+ community and strive every day to make decisions about our practices that are anti-racist, queer affirming, and as all-inclusive as we can be.
We do this in a number of ways, including enforcing a zero tolerance policy for hate speech, listing our haircuts as genderless, ensuring that all of our staff is competent in all textures of hair, and offering quiet appointments.
We welcome and respect clients of all races, gender identities, sexualities, abilities, religions, and neurodivergent individuals. We are also proud members of the Strands for Trans movement.
